We might tell you not to buy our software.

Most vendors are paid to build what the customer asked for. We are paid to find out what the customer actually needs — and we charge for that as a service in its own right.

A design workshop mapping a real workflow on a wall of notes.

Four honest outcomes.

A design workshop maps the real workflow, names the friction points, and produces a written recommendation. Here are the four things that recommendation might say — and we give all four equal weight.

Sometimes

No software at all.

Some organisations streamline their processes so effectively during the workshop that the software they came in to buy turns out to be unnecessary. We tell them so, we invoice for the workshop, and we don't sell them a licence.

Sometimes

A better use of what you already own.

A more innovative configuration of a tool you already pay for solves the problem, and the right recommendation is to spend nothing further.

Often

One module, not the whole suite.

The reframed problem turns out to be a rostering problem, or a case-note problem, and one module solves it.

Occasionally

A bespoke build.

Design workshops do sometimes conclude that a bespoke application is the right answer. That is the exception rather than the norm, and when it happens it is scoped, costed and carries a maintenance plan from day one.

Why this belongs on a commercial website.

This is not charity. An organisation that has been told honestly not to buy something is the most credible referral source we have.

A great deal of money in this sector is wasted commissioning bespoke systems to solve problems that were never correctly diagnosed. Five-figure quotations for one-off custom features, with no maintenance or audit plan attached, are not unusual in this market.

We'd rather diagnose correctly and invoice for the diagnosis than sell a product to solve the wrong problem.

What actually happens in the room.

1

The right people attend

The people actually doing the work, not only the leadership. A rostering problem can't be solved by someone who doesn't roster.

2

Journey mapping

We map a real recurring process end to end — not an idealised version, but the one that actually happens week to week.

3

Naming the friction points

Where does time disappear? Where do things fall through? Where does someone have to remember something that should be systematic?

4

Separating the presenting problem from the underlying one

"We need a better registration form" often turns out to be "we don't know who has paid." The right diagnosis changes the solution.

5

Written recommendation with options and costs

The deliverable: a problem statement, a mapped journey with friction points named, and a recommended course of action with costs attached.

This method comes from the same place our OD consultancy work does — years of building systems inside organisations and then returning to see how they actually landed in the wider workflow. More about who leads this work →

Pricing.

Design workshop

Journey mapping, problem reframing, written recommendation. Priced for a whole organisation — our team rather than one facilitator, with a scoping session before the day and a review session after.

From S$3,500

Multi-session design engagement

For larger or more complex operational problems.

From S$7,500

What S$3,500 covers. The price is for a whole organisation: our training team rather than a single trainer, a scoping session before the day, and a review session afterwards. Both sessions are included, because a workshop nobody revisits is a good afternoon and no change. Training a smaller group? Ask for a separate quote — an eight-person team shouldn't pay organisation rates.

No automatic subscription credit. We invoice for the workshop whatever it concludes. That is the point.

The Trellistry Operations guarantee.

Try it for three months. If it isn't working, we fix it free — or refund your subscription in full and hand back a clean export of your data. No lock-in.

And it should cost you less than the alternative. Before you start, we agree a baseline with you: what your team currently spends on administration, in hours or in dollars, whichever you'd rather be measured on. If that baseline hasn't fallen after three months, the same refund applies.

Applies to the Trellistry Operations subscription. Professional services are covered against the scope agreed in writing for that engagement. Kingsfold memberships and subscriptions are separate products and are not covered. Donors, investors and supporters interested in Kingsfold are welcome to contact us.
